The newest social media takeover is “Stay Tuned” a twice-daily news show with hosts Savannah Sellers and Gadi Schwartz that NBC News is launching on Snapchat’s discover platform. That’s right, we are now turning to Snapchat to get our news. The show will have morning and afternoon editions each weekday and a show on the weekends, with updates throughout the day to cover breaking news.
Honestly, people will complain that millennials are ruining everything, including the news now. We used to rely on newspapers, then radio, now TV, and soon to be solely our smartphones. With people being so glued to their phones anyway, it’s a good thing to have access to important, newsworthy content rather than just dog filters and pictures of people’s food.
